Everton boss Roberto Martinez is delighted with their summer business work.
Gareth Barry, Muhamed Besic, Romelu Lukaku and Samuel Eto’o joined on permanent deals, while Christian Atsu was recruited on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Martinez told evertontv: “There has been terrific work. If you look at how we left it at the end of last season, the priority was continuity.
“The squad that we assembled now gives us the opportunity to carry on the good work that we did last season and to push on a bit further.”
