Liverpool and Arsenal to open talks with £55m striker

Edinson Cavani is preparing to listen to offers from both Arsenal and Liverpool this winter as he seeks a move away from Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Express.
The unsettled Uruguayan is unhappy with having to play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Ligue 1 side and is desperate for the chance to be a first choice goal getter elsewhere.
Both Premier League giants have been linked with the 27-year-old in recent transfer windows and the striker is now ready to start speaking to clubs who are serious about signing him in January.
It is believed it could take as much as £55m to persuade PSG to sell Cavani, which may prove a stumbling block for Arsenal and Liverpool. But both sides are craving a regular goal scorer after losing their respective strikers top goalsccorers to injuries and in the summer window.
Arsene Wenger was said to be considering a move for the former Napoli hitman in the summer, whilst Brendan Rodgers is eager to more firepower to current strike duo Daniel Sturridge and Mario Balotelli.
