Transfer Update: Lionel Messi

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has commented on his future following reports of interest from Manchester United.

Recent rumours out of Spain suggested Messi could be open to a move to England's top flight, with talk of the Red Devils weighing up a £180 million bid for the Argentine's services.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also reportedly approached the 28-year-old, but Messi claims he's not focusing too much on the future.

"I don't want to look too far ahead," he said, according to the Daily Mail.

"I live for the moment, and at this moment I am with Barcelona in La Liga, where I've made my living and I live very well."

Many believe Messi could be open to a Barcelona exit because of the bad press he's been getting regarding the allegations of tax fraud against him and his father, Jorge, who also acts as his agent.

The Blaugrana have had several cases of players accused of tax fraud, including former Santos star Neymar and their Argentine defender Javier Mascherano.

Messi's contract at Barcelona runs out in 2018, and there is yet to be talk of a new deal.

The forward has played 492 times for the side, scoring 418 goals and assisting a further 191 strikes.
