Arsenal and Liverpool have been put on transfer red alert, with reports from The Metro claiming that Edinson Cavani is once again angling for a move away from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Premier League duo were both linked with the Uruguayan striker over the summer but he eventually opted to stay put in a bid to force his way to the top of the pecking order at the Parc des Princes.
But with the season only a few weeks old, Cavani is already frustrated at being shunted out to the wing once again to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in his favoured role.
The South American was primarily used in a wide position last term and as continued to take up a berth on the touchline, much to his annoyance.
Now reports suggest that the 27-year-old forward will indeed make a move away from the French capital at the end of the season, alerting Liverpool and Arsenal.
Both clubs signed strikers late on over the summer in the shape of Mario Balotelli and Danny Welbeck respectively, yet their managers could still be tempted by a player of Cavani’s ilk.
